The Department offers a two year MBA programme in Food Business which started during the academic year 2009-10 and is one of its kind in the country. The Department was created in the year 1996 to strengthen the teaching and research activities in the field of Dairy Business Management. The students are taught courses that enhance their skills in management which aids them in viewing the business aspects of dairy technology and in their pursuit of higher studies in the field of business management. The Department is conducting training programmes on frontline areas Advanced Data Analytics, Machine learning and Big data analytics. Courses in statistics and computer science for both undergraduate and postgraduate of Dairy Science and Veterinary students are offered by the Department. It extends consultancy services to PG students and Scientists of the University in statistics for data analysis.
