Founded in 2001, Footprints works with the community to recognize, embrace, and assist homeless veterans and people afflicted with substance use disorders. We are trusted servants ushering those who seek a new life onto the road to recovery.
Heroes Home Gate, our short-term residence for homeless veterans, is part of the Homeless Veterans Health Care Initiative of the United States Veterans Administration. We assist program participants with placement in permanent housing providing them with move-in assistance that includes furniture and housewares.
Our recovery community center on Troost Avenue, named in honor of our founder, Wayne D. White, offers fellowship, support groups, counseling and classes to assist those seeking long-term recovery. View our current meeting schedule for recovery groups at the center.
Footprints is certified by the Missouri Department of Mental Health, Division of Behavioral Health, as a provider of Recovery Support Services and is governed by a board of directors made up volunteers from the local community.
