Forensic Assessment was established in 1994, and we offer a very extensive range of Forensic Services to the Legal Profession on a nationwide basis in the UK. Our clients are primarily, but not exclusively, Criminal Defence Solicitors. Our services encompass many of the Forensic techniques currently used in the investigation of criminal offences including murders, assaults, sexual offences, burglary & robbery, all aspects of drugs offences, Arson, fraud, drink & drug driving issues, and firearms offences. The range of techniques includes DNA profiling on all body fluids, blood pattern analyses, footwear and fabric impressions, fingerprints, fibre and particulate material transfer, fire investigation and associated laboratory analyses, back calculations in drink drive matters, toxicology, legal classification of firearms and ammunition, firearm discharge residues, accident investigation, crime scene examinations, handwriting comparison, drug traces on banknotes and all aspects of drugs analyses. Our experts can either undertake a thorough and robust assessment of Forensic evidence to be relied upon by the Prosecution, including undertaking the examination of exhibits and scientific case records / results at the various Forensic agencies utilised by the Police when investigating crimes, an also the ever increasing number of Police Force "in House" Forensic facilities, or if necessary we can also undertake the examination of items that have not been subject to any prior examinations. In addition, we can also provide expert opinion on issues such as yields from cannabis plants, drug valuations, drug usage rates, and the assessment and causation of certain types of injuries.
