The Company is a partnership between Spika Ventures LLC and K-Technologies Inc. The Company has targeted Fluorides in the phosphate process or waste streams as first element to be converted into several high value products such as Anhydrous HydrogenFluoride (AHF), Aluminum Fluoride (ALF3) and associated co-products such as Precipitated Silica (PS), Amorphous Silica (AS), and AmmoniumSulfate.
The company’s system allows great flexibility and a significantly more economical and sustainable approach than the traditional fluorspar method or other competing technologies:
- Significantly lower CAPEX and OPEX to produce AHF versus fluorspar and competing technologies.
- Can extract fluor from waste stream phosphogypsum pond water, Phosphoric Acid stream, or Fluosilicic Acid (FSA).
- Doesn't interfere with the phosphoric acid production of the plant.
- Doesn't produce large quantity of dilute sulfuric acid which can upset water balance of the phosphoric acid plants.
- Can produce PS or AS products of value,
- Can produce highest quality AHF, PS or AS, for specialty applications (e.g., tire reinforcement and other rubber products, dentifrices, food/pharma products, desiccants, etc.), and AlF3 (manufacture of aluminum).
- Allows production of up to 3 additional value-add co-products (AlF3, PS or AS, and AmS) that can be monetized in addition to AHF, unlike fluorspar or competing technologies.
- No waste material produced versus waste material for fluorspar based AHF.
- Enables a global commercial reach for AHF, unlike competing technologies which lock producers into their regional markets.
