The FRANCO SCHIAVON GALLERY, a superb example of Murano's great and centuries-old glassmaking tradition, was born in 1963 from the legacy of the factory established in the early 1950s. It soon became one of the most renowned names on Murano island thanks to the high artistic level and excellence of the pieces produced in its furnaces. Here, glass is still worked as our fathers and ancestors did. Our creations are a product of history and of craftsmanship where secrets are passed down from father to son: the difficult traditional manual movements that allow the creation of these exclusive handcrafted products. Over the years, the spaces and equipment have been modernized and adapted to new legal regulations, but the working tools have remained unchanged for centuries: the same metal blowing rods, the same pliers, the scagno (wooden bench where the master works) and the kiln, but above all the skilled hands of our masters who have inherited the ability to bring to life the artistic glass known and appreciated all over the world. The magic of crystals, the fantasy of colors, the originality of murrine, the creativity and virtuosity of the masters give shape and life to extraordinary and unique works coveted everywhere.
