Peter & Angela Doran founded the business in 1979, acquiring the Skoda, Hyundai, Isuzu and Maxus van franchises on their Carrickmacross site (Doran Motors) across their 43 years in business. They purchased and opened Drogheda Car Sales in 2012 as the Hyundai dealership in Co Louth, and in 2019 the Suzuki franchise was added.
Frank Keane Holdings are a very respected family run business within the motor industry and acquired the businesses in November 2022. They are the leading suppliers of BMW, Mini and VW in Dublin across their 6 sites. Gerard Boylan joined the team in May 2021, formerly CEO of Top Oil, and a chartered accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers. He is the Managing Director of Doran Motors Holdings Ltd. Along with the existing team of 60 employees across both sites, lead by Operations Director Francis Jones and Sales Director Carol Kerr, we look forward to the future of the motor industry and the further introduction of electric cars.
In both Doran Motors/Drogheda Car Sales the majority of employees have been part of the team for over 10 years, with many in excess of 20 years, and some over 30 years.
