The mission of the film school is to educate a new generation of Russian filmmakers: free, modern, professional individualities who harmoniously combine the technological effectiveness of contemporary film production and the freshness of artistic thought.
We want to make free cinema - free from tropes and stereotypes, free from the boundaries that separate commercial cinema from arthouse, movies for general audience from art films, mainstream from festival motion pictures. We want to make good movies, because a movie made with feeling, thoughtfully and with skill will certainly find its audience.
