Our data is the reflection of our daily lives. So many entities that we trust and that consult pieces of our digitised lives.
But our data is not just bits of binary code lost in a desert of laws. The law governs its collection, processing, lifespan, access and level of security to protect us from abuse. Our governments, our businesses, our schools and our friends and family have a duty to apply the law. However, the law does not prevent crimes from being committed. That's why we need to prevent abuse in advance through awareness-raising, training, knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement of our data systems. Cybersecurity encompasses all these concepts that protect against abuse in the IT world, just as a policeman would do in the field.
The Fribourg Cybersecurity Seminar group aims to educate the general public and specialists in developments in the world of telecommunications, data and applications. By taking part in these seminars, you will be able to hear and share the experience of companies and researchers (HES, EPF, UNI) who are working to protect users and our entities from the threats of malicious actors.
