Front Room Gallery was founded by Daniel Aycock in 1999 and has maintained a strong presence in the art world for over 25 years. Originally located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, the gallery established itself as a dynamic space for contemporary art. Kathleen Vance joined as co-director in 2004, bringing her expertise in curating fine art exhibitions.
After a decade in Brooklyn, the gallery moved to Manhattan’s Lower East Side in 2017, where it continued to host compelling exhibitions. In 2022, Front Room Gallery relocated to the scenic Hudson Valley and now resides at 205 Warren Street in Hudson, New York, where it has become a beloved part of the local community.
The gallery’s contemporary fine art program balances a focus on photography with other art-making modalities, including painting and installation. Its curatorial vision highlights work that addresses environmental, social, and political concerns while showcasing artists of exceptional skill and conceptual depth.
