FUMUNI Foundation is a registered Non-Profit Company which aims to alleviate the challenges that are experienced by the young people from disadvantaged communities. We work together with communities, peers and stakeholders to identify, develop and implement sustainable programmes that will empower and improve the lives of young people while building future leaders and positive contributors to the growth of communities and the economy.
FUMUNI was founded by Kagiso Molorana Seshoka, a woman passionate about the empowerment and mentorship of the youth. Born and raised in the township of Atteridgeville, Tshwane, Kagiso developed a keen interest in youth matters during her high-school days, volunteering in community outreach programmes that were being run in her school. This passion grew well into her working career and, while working for a well-known IT company in Centurion, she pioneered a project that saw her company sponsoring students from a high school in her hometown. Seeing the need to spread her passion beyond her immediate surroundings, Kagiso started the FUMUNI Youth Mentorship Programme in 2017, which led to the birth of FUMUNI Foundation (NPC) in 2018. She draws on her academic & professional skills and experience coupled with a solid network of like-minded peers to ensure the successful delivery of programmes and initiatives
