The MACBA Foundation was created in 1987 with the aim of supporting the creation of a museum of contemporary art in Barcelona and building up the MACBA Collection.
Our mission is to promote the dissemination and comprehension of contemporary art and to contribute to the cultural and social development of the city. We have the support of more than 180 collaborators, both individuals and committed companies.
We are part of the MACBA Consortium, together with the City of Barcelona, the Government of Catalonia and the Ministry of Culture.
