Fundación Herbert de Sola Overview

The Herbert de Sola Foundation was created in 1958 by the four De Sola Maduro Brothers – Victor, Ernesto, Francisco and Orlando. The mission they gave to the Foundation was to support all activities that would promote the material, moral, cultural and intellectual well-being of the Salvadoran population. The brothers named the foundation after their father, Herbert, an emblematic figure during his time who promoted a vision of citizen and corporate responsibility -- a vision that is still present in the De Sola Group today. Mr. Herbert de Sola Osorio showed our country the human side of the businessperson. He proved that it was possible to grow equitably and sustainably, and that the private sector had an important social role to fulfill.
