I am so excited to bring this program to you, healthcare workers who are continually healing and making a difference in the lives of others. We are a growing group of practitioners who understand that laughter can really help to heal the soul, whether you are helping someone with mental, physical, or emotional pain, humor is a lifesaver that keeps us all connected.
The initial 5-course module program will consist of the following topics:
Module 1: The Science of Laughter
Module 2: Therapeutic Laughter
Module 3: Laughter, Humor and Trauma
Module 4: Laughter and Chronic Illness
Module 5: Laughter & the Wound
Each module will end with a case study of how humor has really helped the patient to heal, so you will really get to understand how this work works.
But wait, there’s more!
Beginning in June, on the first Friday of every month we will have guest speakers. Let’s call them adjunct faculty. These teachers are professionals in the field, public speakers, and stand up comedians who have stories of resilience and humor to share with us all.
Each of these presenters have been picked by the funny shrink himself (I hate speaking in the third person, but there you go), and it is guaranteed that each presenter will be enlightening, entertaining and educational.
