Futura Cinema, created in 2021, is an incubator that provides a space for those involved in cinema exhibition and distribution to develop and/or host innovative initiatives.
It is a unique initiative in terms of its duration, content and dual format:
- an incubation programme developed in partnership with festivals, local authorities, incubators, clusters and residencies.
- an experimentation network bringing together innovative projects and cultural venues.
The aim is to help new companies, start-ups, entrepreneurs and cinemas themselves to implement innovative ideas to improve the performance and experience of cinemas.
After focusing on attracting 15-25 year-olds back to cinemas, we are now targeting innovative projects in other sectors to encourage the transfer of innovation and strengthen our support for projects at both seed and more advanced stages of maturity.
