MISSION
People achieve amazing things when they feel valued for what they bring, accepted for who they are, and effective as a collective. Our mission is to spur achievement in collectives—in multi-team, multi-function groups that share a goal— by mitigating the Ringelmann Effect: the “social loafing” that overtakes groups as they grow beyond ten people, diminishing their collective power to achieve their objective.
HOW WE’RE DIFFERENT
Lots of platforms promise to help organizations scale performance by soliciting employee feedback. Lots of companies, as a result, are drowning in data they cannot action. Because a dashboard of continuous feedback simply surfaces where employee attitudes may be impacting outcomes—not how.
g-dii helps organizations scale performance across multi-team, multi-function groups by surfacing and quantifying in those groups the three drivers shown to be crucial to sustained innovation and problem-solving:
1. Cohesion, which research confirms is essential to effectiveness and performance
2. Inherent diversity, or difference that is inborn (e.g., gender) or immutable (e.g. age), which has been shown to confer an edge in problem-solving and predictive tasks
3. Acquired diversity, or openness to difference that’s acquired through experience or exposure, which turns out to be crucial in unleashing the insights and perspectives of inherently diverse team members.
Separately, these tools furnish indices of workforce diversity and inclusion, which we benchmark to the market. Together, they reveal why some groups storm . . . while others perform.
