The Gagliole wine estate lies on a hill near the village of Castellina in the heart of the Chianti Classico region, and can rightfully be called an "Antico Podere" (Old Manor). According to a document dating back to the year 994, the king of the Langobards, Berengario, gave the estate to his son, Ildebrando, as a wedding present. Therefore, Gagliole today can look back proudly on more than 1000 years of history.
