Gallinazos Cine is a film production company established in 2013. Our films have been screened in the most important Latin American film festivals (Mar del Plata, Valdivia, Lima, BAFICI, among others) and Madrid’s, Bogota’s, and Mexico’s cinematheques, as well as on Retina Latina and MUBI. We follow three lines of work: film production, film editing, and film distribution and exhibition.
• Gallinazos' films have received funding from the Peruvian Ministry of Culture on four different occasions for their production.
• We have edited more than a dozen of short and feature films awarded in Peru and screened in important film festivals. Standing out Connatural (Ji.hlava IDFF), Words that matter (Warsaw IFF), Pareciera que amanece (BAFICI), Leche para dos (Palm Springs Short Fest), and Duelo a muerte: Una escena Samurai (Valdivia IFF).
• Gallinazos has distributed Latin American short and feature films that have been selected for prestigious film festivals such as DocLisboa, Ji.hlava IDFF, Oberhausen, Kasseler DokFest, Valdivia IFF, Cartagena, Palm Springs, É Tudo Verdade, FICUNAM, Film Lincoln Center, amongst others.
