Generational Wealth and Planning (GWAP) focuses on providing real-world personal finance education to Philadelphia's youth in low-income neighborhoods.
Every two years, the Council for Economic Education (CEE) conducts a comprehensive look into the state of K-12 economic and financial education in the United States. The 2020 survey of the states show 25 states require a high school course to be offered. Pennsylvania is not included on that list.
Through classroom-based as well as direct to student interaction, GWAP looks to fill that void in underrepresented areas of Philadelphia.
