The Society for the Advancement of Dairy Science aims to promote the transfer of knowledge about the developments of milk, the products prepared from it and its applications. A symposium is organized twice a year to transfer knowledge and promote contacts among members. Current topics are scheduled with interesting high-level speakers. The Society has a rich history, having been founded in 1908 and awarded the Royal Medal of Honor. The Society is the most important dairy network in the Netherlands and has about 300 members working mainly in the milk and dairy sector.
