Atlanta has a lot of blockchain/crypto based organizations and events focused on the education of developers, but is lacking a strong community of corporate leaders, government officials, entrepreneurs, academia, and investors. GBC, a non profit, exists to build that community of business minded individuals, to create a social and educational platform that advances Georgia as a whole. Our success is derived from the size of our community network and business results that come from those connections.
Connect: Bring people together in a social environment for networking, creating 1-1 connections between members when appropriate, and connecting the 5 pillars of our community (corporate, government, entrepreneurs, academia, and investors).
Educate: Deliver blockchain/crypto related content that resonates with an non-technical individual on why they need to know more about blockchain and crypto, and speak to them in a simple manner about the capabilities and possibilities of what blockchain/crypto will do for them personally, for their businesses, and in their professional careers.
Build: Create small group societies based on industry and functional areas that promote collaboration and exploration of ideas. These small groups will create opportunities across the ecosystem of corporate, entrepreneurs and investors and assist these groups in bringing forth innovative blockchain products.
Sustain: This isn’t a sprint; it is a marathon. There are a lot of communities in Atlanta for blockchain, we need to stay focused on our business-oriented mission. We need to deliver events and education that align with the needs of our community. And we need to integrate all the other communities around Atlanta for success. We need to create a business and political environment where leaders trust that their blockchain investments will be viable in the long term. So we will work with academia, standards boards, and government authorities to create that long term environment.
