The Georgia Career and Technical Instruction (CTI) support service is designed to assist high school students with disabilities who are enrolled in Career, Technical, Agricultural Education (CTAE) courses. In these courses, students acquire employability skills that ease their transition to postsecondary education or the workforce.
The Career Technical Student Organization of CTI offers the opportunity to students to apply the industry skills learned in their respective career pathway Georgia CTI offers 28 competitive events that align directly with Georgia’s CTAE Course Curriculum and Standards. The first standard of all Georgia CTAE courses states that a student will demonstrate employability skills required by business and industry. Georgia CTI intentionally offers a variety of competitive event that will meet this standard such as Career Exploration /Job Interview, Community/Civic Awareness, Most Improved Person, Occupational Creative Thinking, Public Speaking, School Project and Team Career Skills.
Georgia CTI is a support program that encourages student participation in one of the other respective Career Technical Student Organizations (CTSO) aligned with their pathway or career goal.
