Geotreks is an Irish geotourism company founded by an experienced successful economic geologist who draws on the expertise of a pool of Irish and international geologists with inputs from local ecologists, archaeologists, historians, artists, business-owners and traditional farmers on Clare Island, Co. Mayo. Ireland.
GeoTreks "FieldSchool" organizes tailor-made geological trips (mapping or field trips) for universities, colleges, schools and societies, and as the only company of its kind in Ireland, our extensive network of contacts means we can provide key experts to advise or lead groups and offer guest lectures, as well as suggest key sites and installations to enhance students’ learning experiences. Field trips are specifically designed to fit the requirements of each student or group, and we can organise all your transfer, transport, study and accommodation requirements on the island - in one of the most diverse, studied and internationally important geological landscapes in the world.
