Gestmar Tehnika consists in a group of experienced Masters, Engineers, Marine and Technical superintendents all with great experience and technical knowledge.
The technical dept. is responsible for the technical supervision, superintendence, maintenance and attendance of dry dockings and repairs; the aim is to maximise the vessel’s operational efficiency through all her lifecycle.
This department offers the following services:
- Technical: 365/365 days attending all running vessels aimed at planning and monitoring vessel maintenance and technical upgrading, regular inspections on board, development of dynamic work and action plans with the Masters, to ensure that the vessels are maintained in accordance with Owners’ policies and to receive regular reports as to their progress.
- Safety and Quality: 24/24 hours attendance to maintaining full compliance with the requirements and recommendations of the Classification Societies, Vetting requirements, applicable laws and regulations of the country of registry of the vessels and all their ports of call.
- Purchasing: in depth monitoring, analysis and evaluation of market suppliers to optimise costs while strictly adhering to the high quality requirements for the procurement of spares, stores, oils and lubricants.
The operation dept. is responsible for day to day communication and instructions with the vessels, compliance with voyage orders, issuing voyage instructions, making sure that all vessels perform as per the charter-party agreements.
Among other services it is the duty of the operations dept to provide post-fixture support to the vessels, to keep track control of vessels’ performance e.g. speed, bunker consumption, loading/discharging time, to ensure ship’s performance is in compliance with all parameters warranted under the charters; if any discrepancy is found, it will be addressed as soon as possible by suggesting corrective actions or involving the pertinent department.
