Project of Clyde Sanadi, educating consumers in personal finance and home ownership. Saw need for consumer-based education, as I taught finance to entrepreneurs at USF in 90's. Began by sharing car-buying method that puts the buyer firmly in control of the deal. Branded project in 2007, added credit score optimization and sound mortgage structure. Often, I help teens, young adults, immigrants establish credit, banking and retirement accounts. The Rule of 72 instills a save and invest mindset, casting the "GetAhead... StayAhead" mantra as attainable. I also write resumes, prepare taxes, explain home buying process, capital markets and insurance. I typically start with an app like Mint or Quicken, use Excel to create a personal financial statement, probing and educating along the way. I also use TurboTax, Experian, Edmunds, CarGurus and eMoney. Seminars in car buying, credit scoring and ways to value discretionary income are next.
