In 2002, GGML established the GGM Kilimanjaro Challenge Against HIV and AIDS Trust, which organises the annual GGM Kili Challenge charity event, which involves climbing or cycling around Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain. The event aims to raise funds and awareness for the national response to the pandemic in collaboration with the Tanzania Commission for AIDS (TACAIDS) and other stakeholders.
