GGPGC No.1 Abbottabad was established in 1953. It is located in the picturesque Abbottabad Valley, which holds a unique position among the Hill stations of PK, Pakistan.
Due to its mild weather throughout the year, even during the three extreme winter months, it is not formidably cold. This college has the distinction of being the second oldest college for girls in KPK. Its contribution to the development of education in the once backward area of Hazara is unmatched.
A majority of its alumni have attained the highest milestones and are serving their country, despite the restrictive tradition and prejudices of our region. Presently, additional Lecture halls have been constructed for Postgraduate classes. In addition, there is another three-storied building, "The King Abdullah Block".
The College is well established and aims at providing quality education to all. Its objective is to produce such characters who lead the nation to prosperity and development. The institution provides a healthy and competitive environment for the development of academic and professional skills.
