GPMS is owned by Mining Oil & Gas Services (65%) in partnership with the Tema Oil Refinery (35%). The GPMS facility operates under an exclusive 15 year concession agreement from the Ghanaian Government.
The operations of GPMS involve the discharge/transfer of petroleum products from vessels (ships) and other bulk liquid cargo types through the Single Point Mooring (SPM) and the Conventional Buoy Mooring (CBM/ABB) systems.
GPMS operates on an open access basis, servicing the bulk distribution companies and Tema Oil Refineries (TOR), on a throughput tariff basis. The facility handles in excess of 4.5 million metric tonnes of petroleum product per annum.
