GiMUN e.V. is an association registered in the register of associations and based in the city of Gießen. It has been in existence since 2012 and is a non-profit organisation. The purpose of the association is both the promotion of the international spirit, tolerance in all areas of culture and the idea of international understanding, as well as the promotion of scientific work and education. To this end, it is the task of the association to explain the functioning of the United Nations and to conduct and support simulations of the United Nations. This is done in Gießen in close cooperation with the Justus-Liebig-University in Gießen.
