GINA's Team

Gina's Team is a federally registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that encourages, promotes and provides leadership and self-reliance programs for incarcerated women in Arizona's Perryville State Prison and at Mingus Mountain Academy, a joint commission residential treatment center for emotionally and behaviorally at-risk adolescent girls between the ages of 12 and 18 years old. Gina's Team is led by dynamic volunteers and supported by community leaders’ donations. Without any cost to taxpayers or incarceration facilities, Gina’s Team prepares women for a smooth and successful transition upon release. Gina’s Team’s philosophy toward improving the re-entry process is to employ an education rather than incarceration mentality. Gina’s Team focuses on addressing inmates’ needs by contributing to inmate education and re-entry programming, thus creating smoother re-entry and more peaceful communities both inside and out.
