Driven by the desire to make a difference and recognising the declining school attendance among girls in Uganda, Girl Power Uganda was born. Inspired to create change and collaborate with like-minded individuals, we set out to empower girls and uplift communities.
We aim to keep girls in school by addressing factors that lead to absenteeism, such as the lack of menstrual products. Through distributing reusable pads and conducting educational sessions, we empower girls to stay in school confidently. By fostering partnerships with local organizations, we promote expertise-sharing, create jobs, and drive sustainable social impact. Collaborating with partners working in areas like mental health, we catalyse change and inspire communities to champion and drive change for advancing gender equality at both local and global levels.
