Welcome to the official page of the Global Maritime Congress (GMC'24), a premier international forum dedicated to the 'Future of Shipping'. Set to convene in Istanbul from May 20-21, 2024, this congress is a collaborative effort by Istanbul Technical University Faculty of Maritime, TMMOB The Chamber of Marine Engineers, Batumi State Maritime Academy, Constanta Maritime University, and Strathclyde University. GMC'24 marks our fifth edition, continuing a tradition of bringing together global maritime experts.
At GMC'24, attendees will delve into a rich tapestry of topics including technological advancements in maritime, energy efficiency, the human factor in shipping, innovative designs, cyber security at sea, novel marine fuels, shipbuilding, maritime trade and law, port operations, and digital strategies in maritime transportation management. The congress offers a unique platform for presenting scientific research, fostering academic discussions, and publishing selected papers in the Journal of ETA Maritime Science (JEMS).
