From my time working in care, I have noticed that other providers do not put their service users at the centre of what they do. From my time working in mental health as a staff nurse and care coordinator, I have acquired many transferrable skills, such as assessment and team management skills, comprehensive care planning, record-keeping skills, safe administration of medication, the use of research-based and reflective-based practice. I am also fluent in German, French, Pidgin English and a local Cameroonian language called Akum. I also have academic accreditation from Teesside University, where I studied as a Best Interests Assessor and qualified in 2018.
