Good Hope is a women-led grassroots community organization located in Moshi, Tanzania. The organization was founded in October 2011. Our NGO has a focus on teenage girls and seeks to eliminate education inequality. We provide a pre school program for children from the age of four and a stepping stone program for teenagers from impoverished families who slipped through the net of Tanzania’s education system. We offer free on-site schooling for primary-school drop-outs, secondary school and vocational training scholarships, and close family and career counseling with students enrolled in our programs and their families. Up to today, Good Hope has welcomed more than 250 students in the on-site teaching program and we have awarded 69 students with a school and/or training scholarship up to university education.
