Governance and Policy Think Tank (GPTT) was established in 2015, in the regard of the tradition of Sharif University of Technology's entry into the field of social and human sciences, which began in the beginning of the 1980s, with the collective efforts of faculty members and graduates of the university, centered on the late Dr. Rusta Azad and the support of Dr. Sohrabpour, former presidents of the university. GPTT was established as an independent university think tank (registration number 38342) with the aim of establishing a connection between the university and the field of governance and public policy making of the country.
