Great Lakes Jetaa company information, Employees & Contact Information

Great Lakes JETAA is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit. We are the alumni association for JET Program participants who either departed from or relocated to the Michigan and Ohio region. Our chapter benefits greatly from the strong and vibrant Japanese community in Michigan and Ohio, which is supported by the Consulate General of Japan in Detroit. The Great Lakes Chapter is partnering with these valuable resources to give members the opportunity to fulfill their yearnings for Japanese culture and to offer their own experiences to grow the community. Our purpose is: To provide opportunities for former participants in the Japan Exchange Teach Program to work together in the following pursuits: Promotion of mutual understanding and friendship between the people of Michigan and Ohio and the local Japanese community through organization of social events and volunteer activities. Providing support to the Japanese Consulate in their recruitment, selection, and orientation of new JET Program participants. Dissemination of information concerning JET Alumni through a newsletter. Providing a framework for social interaction and sharing of career development resources among JET Alumni. Our full acronym stands for “The Great Lakes Japan Exchange and Teaching Program Alumni Association.”
