At EPICS Green Campus, our goal is to promote a clean and more environmentally conscious campus. Sustainability and environmental awareness are key values that we hold within our work on the Green Wall and the Smart Dumpster Projects. Our Green Wall team is developing a green wall that will be placed in the Forney Hall of Chemical Engineering Undergraduate Lounge. Their mission is to improve students' mental health and provide education on ways people can be more environmentally friendly. Our Smart Dumpster team is working with CPAS and the Purdue Grounds team to develop sensors that will monitor waste patterns allowing the number of trash cans to be reduced, and the collection route to be shortened. Their mission is to improve waste collection procedures and to create more sustainability efforts on campus.
