GreenCarbon LLC. is a subsidiary company of Beward Investments S.a.r.L, Luxembourg based private investment company founded in 2015. The general investment strategy is to finance clean energy projects aimed to substitute fossil fuel in global consumption field.
Particularly focused on clean energy projects in Eastern Europe, Beward decided to support startup project in North-West region of Russia. The project goal is to build a factory to produce carbonized biomass out of low graded wood and forrest residues. The end product, densified carbonized biomass, will replace traditional coal in European power plants to decrease CO2 footprint.
Today GreenCarbon LLC (Russia) is general contractor for factory construction and further will own & operate production facility.
Oct’19 project received positive feedback from International Biomass Torrefaction Council (IBTC), a global network association that unites solid biofuel producers focused on torrefaction technology. After project assessment, GreenCarbon was granted “development IBTC member” status.
