The research idea of the Research Training Group is to create nanoscopic hybrid systems with directed material properties in direct interaction between theoretical modeling, chemical synthesis, and physical investigation. For this purpose, chemical concepts will be developed that allow the targeted variation of shape and size and composition of nanostructures. The novel material properties based on intraparticular interaction will be investigated using various physical methods and described on the basis of theoretical models. At the same time, defined assemblates of the anisotropic hybrid structures are to be constructed, which lead to application-relevant, macroscopic material properties. In addition to chemical coupling reactions, template-supported strategies based on inorganic or polymeric structures are used.
