Domestic and Environmental Drilling
Our staff are field specialists with extensive domestic and industry experience. Our team has been drilling monitoring and abstraction boreholes since 2014. To date, our drilling team has installed more than 5,500 boreholes for various clients throughout South Africa.
Remediation services
GASS has fully automated containerized and skid-mounted remediation units for pump-and-treat, SVE, MPE, DPE and HVER applications. These consist of a full range of industry-approved control panels, transfer pumps, air stripper’s knockout vessels, and online GSM monitoring instrumentation. We have engineered numerous small, skid-mounted units for projects involving dissolved-phase contamination issues. We also have a full range of QED pneumatic AP3 top- and bottom-loading pumps for dual-phase recovery or leachate pumping. Additionally, we have access to free phase recovery pumps, helical rotary pumps, piston pumps, bladder pumps, and diaphragm pumps
Surface and groundwater sampling
GASS offers a professional monitoring service. Our equipment includes a range of interface meters, water level meters, flow-thru cells, multiparameter meters, hand-held pH, DO and EC meters, cooler boxes, Heron level temperature and conductivity (LTC) meters, field cameras capable of recording up to 150m below ground level, and (PID's).
Soil and Sediment Sampling
GASS is equipped to obtain soil samples from up to 8m below ground utilizing hand augurs, Shelby tubes, split spoon samplers, and hand augers. We also have direct push capabilities with our drill rig up to 12 meters below the surface.
