Our research group investigates biological properties and functions of adult stem cells (hematopoietic, mesenchymal) in the context of homeostasis and pathological conditions. Research includes several directions:
defining the mechanisms regulating the therapeutic potential of stem cells originating from different adult and perinatal tissues,
development of in vitro strategies and protocols for the improvement of stem cells regenerative potential,
studying the properties and functions of adult stem cells in inflammatory diseases,
studying the properties and functions of adult stem cells in malignant diseases,
examining the potential of adult stem cells, their products and biomaterials for use in the development of advanced 3D in vitro model systems.
