Grow to Life’s mission is to Grow, Give, and Educate, with a vision of the commUnity serving the commUnity. We provide access to culturally recognizable nutrition and education for under-resourced community members. Grow to Life sources fresh produce from local Black farmers as much as possible. A core component and passion of Grow to life’s programs is fostering relationships with local elementary, high school, and college students (our future leaders) from NCCU, UNC, DUKE and NC STATE by providing service learning opportunities. Their work is friendly and non-judgemental - it’s for the commUnity, by the commUnity!
Grow to Life is a Black-led food justice organization advocating for food and nutrition equity in our commUnity.
Since 2014, Grow to Life has partnered with the Town of Chapel Hill Parks and Recreation Department to provide complimentary food distributions to commUnity members. We are blessed to serve our commUnity by operating events that target different areas of need within North Carolina and the surrounding neighborhoods.
Together, we strive to hold each other up through service and education. Grow to Life currently operates several programs, each of which are inspired by the needs of our commUnity. We look forward to seeing you at our next event, as we work each day to Grow, Give, and Educate. Give thanks!
