La historia del grupo nació con la ambición y dedicación de un hombre: Juan José Budeguer. Empezando con unas pocas hectáreas cuando tenia 20 años, trabajó e invirtió año a año para hacer crecer su negocio.
Su pasión y ansias por el trabajo, la compartió siempre con su esposa, Celia, y la transmitió a sus tres hijos: Sebastián, Luis y Celia.
Juntos, convirtieron la empresa en el tercer productor de caña de azúcar del país y Latinoamérica, e invirtieron en la industria azucarera con la adquisición del ingenio Leales en 2010.
Actualmente, la familia administra seis empresas en cuatro sectores distintos (agrícola, ganadero, industrial y vitivinícola), emplea cerca de 1.000 personas y sigue apostando al futuro.
