Gul Ahmed Energy Limited operates a 136.17 MW thermal power plant in Karachi. The plant, established in 1994, operates on a Build Own and Operate (BOO) basis. Additionally, the group has two wind power subsidiaries: Gul Ahmed Wind Power Limited and Gul Ahmed Electric Limited. The Gul Ahmed Wind Power project, located between Karachi and Hyderabad, operates a 50 MW wind farm since October 2016. The Gul Ahmed Electric project, situated in Jhimpir, has a wind power generation capacity of 50 MW and commenced commercial operations in April 2022. Both projects were developed in line with the Government of Pakistan's policy for renewable energy development.
In addition to power generation, Gul Ahmed Energy Group provides energy and engineering services through its subsidiary, Gul Ahmed Energy Power Solutions.
