The GW Health Law and Policy Program seeks to leverage GW's world-class faculty, prime location in the nation's capital, and dynamic student body to equip the next generation of lawyers to become impactful leaders in health law. Professor Suter directs the Initiative and works with the GW Law Kahan Health / FDA Law Fellows to further its mission.
The Initiative, generously funded by GWU and GW Law alumnus, Jonathan Kahan, seeks to inspire greater health law interest among GW Law students and to engage with other GW departments and the health law community regarding contemporary and emerging issues in health law. The Initiative hosts leading practitioners and scholars at our annual Health Law Expo, Distinguished Speaker Series and symposium. In addition, it supports the research of the health law faculty and their engagement with cutting-edge health law issues and policy. Finally, it supports faculty and student participation at national conferences. Through these efforts, the initiative is building a pipeline of practice-ready health care lawyers to contribute their talents to the burgeoning field.
