Habitat Academy Overview

Habitat Academy is a socially conscious institution that teaches English in English via communicative and task-based methods, guided by its well-crafted unique curriculum. This is done in a non-traditional environment with hands-on experience. We aim not just to improve our students’ English level but also to help them evolve into open-minded, virtuous and ethical characters with a global-citizen mindset. At Habitat, students benefit from our Living Learning English method, specially designed to make English learning fun and everlasting. Activities include cooking, creative drama, blogging, film analysis, filmmaking, storytelling, reading/writing, cultural celebrations, song writing/music, etc. Method We teach English in English without a formal textbook via the communicative approach. This is done in a non-traditional environment with hands-on experience. Evaluation We are not exam and testing oriented. We evaluate each and every student based on her/his speaking, comprehension, listening and cultural perception abilities. We send out personalized letters in regards to student's progress regularly. Vision We aim not just to improve our students’ English level but also to help them evolve into open-minded, virtuous and ethical characters with a global-citizen mindset.
