Stitched by the love for the dense green forests and a sense to stand by the environment that has nurtured us, we are two corporate professionals who created the Habitat Research & Development Foundation to protect habitats and support the ecology. Being into corporate organizations for more than two decades now, we have felt the urge to step up and help the people in need.
HRDF is a philanthropic initiative that kick-started with the massive cyclone Amphan that wreaked havoc in West Bengal, Odisha, and Bangladesh in May 2020 amidst the Covid19 pandemic. To reach out to a larger mass of people in an organized and transparent way, HRDF was incorporated on July 1, 2021, backed by moral support and blessings from families and friends worldwide. The legacy of the founder members mostly prompts HRDF. Being in and around the forests, both of us have fallen deeply in love with the ecosystem.
Our passion and curiosity related to forestland have helped us gather significant on-ground information over the past decades. Our knowledge on the criticality of survival of the forest ecosystem gives us the confidence to step into extremities and help the survivors.
