With a view of developing Local Communities of Oman Interior, PDO introduced a Local Community development Programme in the year 1997.
In response to the joint PDO/Ministry initiative, Hamraa Al-Daroua Petroleum Services L.L.C. (HADCO) was founded in 1998, a 100 % Omani-owned company whose shareholders belong to the Al-Darai community of North Oman interior. HADCO has met all Government criteria to legally establish as a Limited Liability Company and also met the PDO requirements to be ategorized as a “Class A” Community Contractor.
Agreements were signed with MIDWESCO in November 1999 to develop HADCO into a competent well services contractor by the end of a 5-year structured business plan that was envisioned to provide employment and economic development to the local population around Fahud.
The Company, in November 1999, had a humble beginning with 5 employees and 8 vehicles. By Q2 2023 it has over 298 personnel, 150 of them fully trained and skilled, and operates a fleet of more than 100 vehicles, tankers and trailers, 7 wellhead maintenance units, 9 slickline units and 7 NCP (non-corrosive pumping) units. It currently services the oil and gas fields operated by Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) in North Oman under a 10-year contract valued at over US$200 million.
With more than 5572425 man-hours combined oil and gas experience of its management and skilled staff, HADCO has an enviable record of working LTI-free for more than 17 years as of Q2 2023.
