HALYVOURGIKI, is the most historic company in the Greek steel industry with over 80 years of experience in the production of steel products. During the 1960’s and 1970’s HALYVOURGIKI was the only vertically integrated steel maker in Greece which was using iron ore as raw material for the production of finished products.
Today HALYVOURGIKI, having completed its investment program in new and innovative technologies, owns and operates one of the most modern steel works of long steel products in the world.
These investments comprise of a new modern meltshop which produces all the grades of steel to the strictest specifications, and two new rolling mills which feature the unique technology of Endless Rolling of billets for the production of long steel products. HALYVOURGIKI also has three production units for manufacturing standard mesh as well as column mesh.
HALYVOURGIKI’ s most recent investment is the new "Spooler Line”, which enables the production of steel for the reinforcement of concrete in specialized coils, known as "Compact Rebar Coils". This type of production unit is the first ever installed in Greece, which makes HALYVOURGIKI the first and only producer of this type of steel for the reinforcement of concrete in Greece.
