As of today, 6 out of every 10 Americans live with at least one chronic disease, like diabetes, stroke, heart disease, or cancer. What worries me the most as a medical doctor, is that most of these people could’ve prevented these life-altering diseases had they just done a few things differently earlier in life. Obtaining a few healthy habits earlier on and avoiding the ones that lead to illness is key.
Currently, the majority of healthcare dollars are spent on curing diseases instead of preventing them. Healthcare is focused on “disease care”, as I like to put it. My goal is to truly focus on “health care” and to make a healthy lifestyle and achievement of peak performance less confusing - whether you are a career professional, athlete, artist, or a student.
