When Suzannah returned to California in 2018, she knew she wanted to start a theatre company, but thought she would have to wait about 10 years to even get started. After a late-night conversation with a few community members, it became clear that there were lots of parents that wanted their children to be in a musical but had no one to direct.
Happy Yak PAC was then formed. Named for the Tibetan yak, Scribbles, that Suzannah and her younger siblings grew up with, Happy Yak PAC provides live theatre and entertainment for Ventura County.
With the generous help of many community leaders and parents, Happy Yak PAC produced its premiere show, The Wizard of Oz, in agreement with Tams-Witmark, www.tamswitmark.com. The Wizard of OZ in November of 2018.
Happy Yak PAC produced Disney and Cameron and Mackintosh's Mary Poppins in 2019 and is currently producing their first community theatre production.
